Hadrian was too far away to run towards Kira, but he almost cried from joy. He paused long enough to go to the demigod and slash through their bonds. He stabbed an arai and yelped, 'Gah! Stupid curses!' Then he scythed down a half dozen telkhines. Meanwhile, Percy drove back the first wave of monsters. They never had good luck, what the hell was this? His drakon-bone arrow cut through the left-side moorings in such a clean single shot, he couldn't believe his eyes. Hadrian aimed for the chains holding the Doors of Death. Did this mean he was dying? turning into smoke?
One look at his arm- or lack there of, convinced him he really was invisible. He saw the monsters barreling past him like he was invisible to them. Hadrian was aware of a tingling sensation wraping around him, like the death mist, but something he could control.
Monsters came after them like tsunami waves. He grabbed his bow from where it had fallen next to him and yelled, 'Percy!'
Hadrian had heard those words often enough that they shocked him out of his paralysis.
